YOUR GROUP AGREEMENT
Put your shared rules in writing.
Clear agreements help a savings circle address problems before they become disputes. Review these four areas together.
Contributions and timing
Record amounts, due dates and proof of receipt. Agree how to handle late or missed contributions.
Approval and review
Separate recording and review where possible. Define signatory authority and review the group’s financial records regularly.
Gains and losses
Agree how gains or losses are shared and how decisions are made. Avoid promising members a return that is not assured.
Leaving and resolving concerns
Record how a member leaves, how balances are settled and whom to approach about a disagreement. Align the agreement with the group’s approved rules.
